How Is Your Heart?

1 Samuel 16:7 NKJV
For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.
If people will neither be awakened by the greatest things, not allured by the sweetest things, not startled by the most terrible things, nor be made aware by the plainest things; if they will listen to the voice neither of scripture, nor reason, nor experience, nor providence, nor conscience, nor interest, what more can be done? - Matthew Henry

Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?

Has your heart become so hard, so bitter, so protective, so calloused, so injured, so indifferent, so locked shut, that you’ve hindered God from entering in? - JSS

Psalm 51:17 NKJV
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.
